Summer Skate Jam Grinding at Foothills Sk8 Court

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Alliance Skate Park is presenting the Summer Skate Jam for the Grind for Life at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31 at the Foothills Sk8 Court, 57^th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.

The event will feature give-aways and raffles for VIP packages and behind the scenes access passes for the Action Sports Tour on Sept. 1 and 2. Mike Rogers will make an appearance as well as other professional skateboarders who will be competing in the Action Sports Tour. This is an opportunity to get up close with the pros who will be signing autographs and skating with those in attendance.

All raffle proceeds will go toward the Grind for Life organization. Grind for Life’s mission is to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families when traveling long distances to doctors and hospitals. The organization was founded by life-long skateboarder, Mike Rogers, after his second battle with cancer.

The event is free and open to the public.
